I have chosen a view of Daveys Bay Mount Eliza looking back towards the Yacht Club.  I wanted to pick up a colour scheme of pinks, turquoises and whites.  The lovely pinky peaches of Mount Eliza cliffs, the mirror image turquoises of the sky and ocean and the whites of the Yacht Club balanced with a few little white fluffy clouds.  I have purposely blended together in places and then contrasted this with the darker precise silhouettes of the trees on the horizon.

This oil painting of Moondah Beach, Mount Eliza captures the sweeping curve of the shoreline as it winds from the cliff tops, past the colourful beach huts, and stretches towards Mornington. Using thick, expressive oil brushstrokes in soft pastel and coastal tones I have sought to portray the beauty, movement, and light of the coastline.
